5 Point Face Lift
Profhilo® is a type of injectable rejuvenation treatment, and unlike dermal fillers it is not designed to add volume to the skin, or restrict movement in the facial muscles. Instead, this anti-ageing hydration treatment contains high levels of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring compound which helps improve tone, texture and elasticity.
Who is Profhilo® for?
As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally starts to drop, which causes the skin to lose its natural firmness
and elasticity. Most people begin to see the effects of hyaluronic acid depletion as they reach their 30s – and Profhilo® is the
perfect treatment for anyone looking to counteract this.
Where can Profhilo® be used?
Profhilo® is usually administered into the skin in five key areas (when administered to the face): the tops of cheeks, side of the face, lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds and laughter lines. It can also be used to improve the appearance of the skin around the neck, chest and décolletage.
The rest time after this treatment is minimal. When injected using the five-point technique on each side of the face, each insertion is immediately noticeable. However, they start diffusing very quickly and they disappear completely by next day. After the treatment, it is recommended to avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours.
Please also avoid having further cosmetic procedures for 48 hours. It is not recommended to go to a sauna or have a steamy bath for the first few days either. It's best to stay out of the sun if any bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.
You can expect increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality in your skin for up to six months. Results are usually visable within 4 weeks.
Usually, people won't be able to tell you've had a treatment, but this depends on the skin condition being treated and the desired outcome. Profhilo® can significantly improve skin laxity by increasing the tissue density some patients have seen some lifting, which can be noticeable.
Most patients say they were complemented on how fresh they looked, but hardly ever asked what they had done.
